Growth potential

We looked at the number of coworking spaces in major cities globally and compared it to the population count. A trend appears with larger cities having more coworking spaces.

The size of the circles is the number of reviews found on various online search engine and is an approximate proxy of the count of members.

An interesting insight from this piece of analysis comes from the outliers, in particular the cities which appear to have relatively few coworking spaces  compared  to their population.

From this we can conjecture that the following cities have the most potential for growth. Manchester appears at the very top of the list with a potential for over 300% growth.

This trend could be accelerated by the post-covid arrangements and more remote work as recently announced by Facebook and Twitter.
